Programme Highlights
The development of cavern fire safety design in Hong Kong evolved from the cavern projects around the 1980s. The Government of HKSAR has completed the “Study on Long-term Strategy for Cavern Development – Feasibility Study” (the Strategic Cavern Study). Under the Strategic Cavern Study, a suite of initiatives was recommended to facilitate Cavern Development to enhance land supply in Hong Kong. The rock cavern initiative was also highlighted in the Policy Addresses.
This technical webinar will introduce the local and international cavern developments and share the respective fire safety design requirements for cavern design.
